Manon, a doctor, and Geoffrey, a former fast-food manager, share a passion for engraving. It was from this enthusiasm that Spoon and Co. was born, their first business founded in early 2018. It offered personalised cutlery, which Manon and Geoffrey offered at flea markets and then engraved with a punch. |

Less than a year later, they increased their ambitions. Wishing to offer engraving on a wider range of products, they embarked on a new entrepreneurial adventure. This was the birth of Ma Fabrique Perso.
The concept: an online sales site for personalised objects. It's mainly aimed at individuals, and offers a Click-and-Collect service in its store.
From passion to expertise
Starting from scratch, Manon and Geoffrey trained themselves in various personalisation techniques (sublimation, embroidery, printing, laser engraving, etc.) to guarantee their customers a quality finish.
Always aware of their customers' opinions and the trends in the engraving market, Manon and Geoffrey quickly realized two constants:
How to meet demand and succeed in this market? By broadening their range of products to be engraved and guaranteeing their customers greater freedom of personalisation.
This meant taking on new technologies. In particular, they needed faster engraving solutions that would enable larger daily production runs - impossible to achieve by engraving by hand as they had done in their previous company.
Manon and Geoffrey decided to acquire new tools for cutting, embroidering, printing and, of course, engraving their products. That's when they contacted Gravotech for a laser engraving machine (the first of many!).
They needed to increase speed, but also:
Manon and Geoffrey knew that the latter, in particular, would be unavoidable, given their extensive catalog of objects to be engraved, the frequent collection renewals they were planning, and their various marketing operations (for Christmas, for example).

Manon and Geoffrey needed to increase even more productivity. So they acquired the WeLase™ station, a compact yet high-speed marking machine for customizing small wooden parts.
It was the right choice: with this model, marking a small wooden train, which used to take 7 minutes, now took just 20 seconds! Manon and Geoffrey thus boosted their production rate and freed up machine time to create or engrave other objects.

To master a new technology, training is essential. Gravotech provided Ma Fabrique Perso with comprehensive support for each machine acquired.
For example, after purchasing the LS900 Edge, they received several days' training, and by the end of which they had mastered the laser machine's parameters and software. The training also involved tests on their products, with settings specific to their needs.
And because several machines share the same operating software, they didn't have to learn a new interface every time they bought a new machine.
In the event of a new technical challenge, they are now able to carry out tests with their machines.
Gravotech's versatile and productive machines are ideal for Manon and Geoffrey's future projects.
Thanks to its new fleet of Gravotech machines, Ma Fabrique Perso can continue to advance towards its first objective: to expand its catalog of objects ever further.

Manon and Geoffrey's mastery of laser machines, as well as their expertise in personalisation, has enabled them to increase creativity. They mix engraving with UV printing, embroidery and sublimation to create unique products. A case in point? After UV printing, they can laser-cut an objects.
